Kei Freed is by no means my real name and in establishing what this blog is about, I want to start by being transparent. This is the pen name that called to me the most especially the last name. For the last 11 years of my life, I have been shackled to other people’s narratives. I created this blog to free myself of the constructs they have created through plucked out distortions of my life that paints a narrative that justifies abuse and denial of guaranteed rights and basic human decency. This will not be a long diatribe about how my life sucked or about how unfair the world is. This is a platform to tell my stories, unfiltered by the narrow scope of those acting with impunity on the basis of assumption. This is a way to constructively and safely share my views on things as they happen around that others might relate or benefit from. My pseudonym is not a mask to protect me while I attack anyone but to free myself of the burden of my purposes being skewed by those with more power who would benefit from the questioning of my credibility and truth of my lived experiences.
